I personally like the Black on Black and did mine with Line-X instead of paint for aesthetic protection(which is the true purpose of flares); because I really do use my truck off-road (Moab, the beach, & during hunting season). Not just a DD during the week.

If the Gen 2's are anything like Gen 1's, the paint on the bumper and flares just about rubs off. If my Gen 2 starts to do that, I'll definitely go for the Line-x.

I'd planned to Line-x my '14 Raptor. It was Tuxedo black and I never liked the gray flares and bumpers against the heavy greenish metallic in the Tux black...always intended to Line-x black.

On my '20 though, the black has a much lighter, finer metallic, and I think the slightly darker gray bumpers and flares actually look good against this black. So if the paint on the bumpers and flares prove as fragile as on my '20 as is did my '14, I'll definitely Line-X, but probably with an OE-shade of gray.

That looks really nice. Is that painted by a linex dealer or is it sold in a retail store and you painted it? If the latter, did you brush it on? Have to remove the flares? What’s the process. Love the look. Ty.
