Do black first, cut out and SVT logo from paper or whatever, then use the large paper to cover the black, leaving only the tips showing thru hm the logo. Basically what he did, but with paper.

Yep, tips are welded together. You could just draw out and cut out any logo you want on blue painters tape and use that as a pattern.

I wanted to have mine powder coated but can't seem to get the tips off the truck. Is there a trick to this or do I have to just muscle it off. I loosened the bolts but the tips just don't want to come off.

i tried to get mine off when i took my exhaust off. even with the exhaust off the truck i had to hammer the effers lose

SRS, you used high temp paint, right? I didn't know that they made a high temp clear coat.

I did mine several years ago without the clear coat, and with mud flaps installed they still look good. I think the clear coat is a good idea.
