warranty claims are a PITA with ford especially on stuff like this. Dirt chunks and runs are acceptable to ford, they even have a number of flaws a panel can have, and its not 0.
This is a claim I filed at my dealership, it is about a 4 inch scratch that was touched up and cleared in the factory. Ford declined it because in the paperwork you sign while buying a truck, you have 2 weeks to find any and all flaws in your vehicle and report them. This guy waited 30 days.
Our dealership had to eat the cost of the repair.

My camera is not the best but here some pics of what I'm talking about.

[/ATTACH]

I put the Bud Light can in just so you can see the reflection of the difference. The left can would be almost exactly where the center of the moonroof would be. That is with out a question dry spray and not as some of you might think bad orange peel. I Know because I've been doing this a long time.

PS. Yes I do love my beer.

Scheduled for repair on the 19th, I'll show new paint job pictures for roof after it's done. So far I'm satisfied with the response with ford and dealship.

Truth will be after the painting.

So I have this same issue....but it's not on the roof of the vehicle. It's on my tailgate. Driver lower corner looks exactly like the dull spot of your roof. It's about a 6x10in section.

What's the possibility of them fixing it? It isn't as noticeable since my truck is race red, but I notice. EVERYTIME i walk to the truck.

Only one way of finding out, take it to your dealership. Take pictures that show something in the way of the reflection of the paint. Like I did with the beer cans.

Called dealership today the 22nd after taking truck to them on the 19th. Was told then 2 days. They tell me they are going to paint it today the 22nd. I'm thinking what happened to the 2 days. So now I have to drive this POS loaner dodge caravan the F'N weekend.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I always make arrangements to drop my vehicles off at the dealer when they are ready for it. Mine are mostly work trucks that are usable dented, but I like them clean. So far it has worked well, and my trucks are typically only down 48 hours max, with major body work.

I would think scheduling 11 days in advance would be enough time.

I finally got around to posting pictures of the repainted roof. Before and After pics.

PICT0200.jpg

It only took them 7 days. Plus they have not replaced the wheel flare yet. They said they have the flare but Ford has not approved it yet. Crystal can you find out why it hasn't been approved?

Great news the dealership replaced the right front fender yesterday. Took them about 20 minutes and I was on my way. They apologized for the miscommunication on the replacement.
Special thanks to Crystal for all the help in getting these issues corrected in a timely manner. You Rock.
