Anyone out there, mainly those that do not have a moonroof noticed any defects in the paint? After a couple of washings I noticed where the moonroof would normally be the area has dry spray. My best guess is when the truck went down the paint line at Ford the robots were programed for a moonroof, hence causing a lack of fluids in that area. Both the base coat and clear coat. Also found on one of the wheel flares the clear coat is pealing.
I've brought it to the attention of the dealership. They took pictures and are submitting them to Ford for evaluation. Question is do I allow them to repaint the roof or not? The flare is easy, that should just be a replacement. At least that's what I requested.

Had one fender flare peeling paint where it meets the metal. Ford replacing it under warranty. Now the rest of fender flares are showing signs of the paint peeling away in small spots.

Ahhhh I thought I was the only one... I don't have the moon roof issue but I do have multiple spots all over the truck, where it looks like a dust storm was blowing in the paint shop because there are big blemishes where dust got under the paint and was painted over.. Also my left front fender looks like the blue or the metallic layer was allowed to run or something because at some angles it looks like my fender is creased or buckled.. I'll take pics tomorrow.

Ouch, You've got a bigger problem then me. First with the contamination and then the paint sags in the base coat. The blue and the metallic are sprayed at the same time. I'm surprised paint inspection did not catch this. If we sent something like that out of our paint system where I work Ford would rip us a new *******. We make and paint several parts for the big three including the wheel flares for regular F150's.
Question did you order or buy off the lot your truck? Either way, for what you paid for your truck I would bring it to their attention. They should not have let that leave the assembly plant period.

I had a ding on the edge of my hood. Factory actually tried to use touch up paint to hide it. Dealer noticed it before me fixed it under warranty.

My camera is not the best but here some pics of what I'm talking about.

I put the Bud Light can in just so you can see the reflection of the difference. The left can would be almost exactly where the center of the moonroof would be. That is with out a question dry spray and not as some of you might think bad orange peel. I Know because I've been doing this a long time.

PS. Yes I do love my beer.
