thats what id do. when i got my ranger there was a glob defect on the drivers door edge. almost like they dinged it and did a bad touch up job. i thought i could mess with it and use touch up to hide it but it ended up looking like shit. i finally just put a plastic edge protector on it. if i could do it over i would have taken it back and made em repaint it. shouldnt the factory paint job be essentially perfect?

Lol our paint is NOWHERE near perfect. So much orange peel, thin areas, places not painted, places hardly even primed, terrible paint.

I thought I had a defect, the paint was all wrinkled up at the back of the front fenders. The dealer said I was driving too fast. He said next time slam on the brakes real hard and make it flow back to the front.... worked:laughing1::laughing1:

I have a couple of run spots on my right rear door. Showed the local dealer (truck was purchased out of state) and they are willing to repaint those areas. I haven't gone thru with it due to simply not wanting to leave the truck behind for 4 days.

i dont know. that was the only defect on my rangers paint job. its 4 years old now and the paint still looks great. the only flaws are the ones from when it was painted by the body shop after my fender bender. i not sure why the paint job on any ford should be anything less than pristine. maybe since i ordered a terrain the paint will be brand new and go on slick and smooth

Question is - can they fix it and not end up with more of a mess and/or worse off than you are now??

That aside, I would def want it fixed. Warranty shouldnt be a question. Just hope they dont demolish your truck in the process.

So was checking out the Raptor this morning and noticed what looks to be either a pain drip or almost a fold of paint on the front quarter panel adjacent to the hood...I'm hesitant to poke at it as if I put a hole in it it has the potential to rust if I dont have it repainted.

Question is should I take it to a dealer and show it to them? Am I wasting my time? Do you think the would offer a remedy?

Its hard to see on the picture but there are 2 paint defects.

Why do you think you got such a good deal on the truck?

We all got little bumps and bruises from the factory, if it drives you crazy have it fixed...maybe one of those city folks dinged your car in a parking lot...
