BAH! the code P0770 is not part of that warranty extension. Looks like im on the hook :(

edit: When i got the truck earlier this year, i did all of the scheduled maintenance at the 240K mark, which included a tranny flush/fluid exchange, the filter was not changed at the time. After reading about the whole flush vs no flush debate, I think this may have played a role in this code. It sucks to think that you are doing your truck some good, when in fact it could harm it. Maybe the high mileage could have led to this eventually anyways.

Lesson learned, I will research the crap out of every service before i get it to find out what has been said and done in the past. The Raptor tax has hit me hard in the first year of ownership lol
Yup, no no to the flush, oh well, should be good to go now. You did change the filter I hope this time.

Small update: After taking the truck on a 6500km road trip, the tranny had zero issues, an no codes. I did notice some instances where it still hard shifts, but it definitely was not having issues getting past 3rd. Tranny temps were consistently 90-93°C

Cruising at 80mph/2200rpm in 6th, I would step on it to pass someone and the truck would drop to 4th. During that gear change there is a noticeable kick in the shift, is that normal?

I tested it while in 5th gear as well at a lower speed and the transition was much smoother.
