I see. I wish they were auto powerfold, like in my Genesis. Then you don't have to worry about it, it does all the work for you. Mirrors fold as soon as you lock it and unfold as you approach the vehicle.

the good thing about being able to fold them on demand is so you can pull them in if you're trying to drive into a narrow space like a garage or a drive thru. but it would be nice if you could set them to auto fold if you wanted

I've folded mine in twice (both times by accident). Trust me, they may be the widest part of the truck, stock, but you will hit other shit with the tires and the fenders before you ever get to the mirrors. Now the occasional stick and pucker brush on the trail - that's whole other story.....

Aside from that, I would never park that close to vehicles, at least I'd avoid it. When there are those that decide to park close to me I'm not too worried due to the fact that their doors, if opened wide, would hit my side step rail.
