I don’t think I’ve had a bad radiator cap in 35 years. I get the ‘cheap insurance’ argument but I’d have never thought of this as a “likely” candidate for failure. Live and learn.

Cap is nothing more than a spring and rubber seal to hold a rated pressure which will weaken/deteriorate and fail over time.

i try to keep my truck in 4th or as i slow down going uphill try to keep low 3rd. seems to work for me. drives me nuts driving that slow, but gotta save then engine. dont forget to stop at ikedas for some pie. and bring me a slice or 12.
Finally made it to Ikeda’s. Super crowded so this is my best photo angle. Bought extra slices but they mysteriously disappeared.
