Flame the guy all you want... I honestly don't care. I was just using your post as an example after I received a formal warning for phrasing a comment that was far more "family friendly" then some of your more recent posts.

Whatever, it's all irrelevant anyways.

Stay posted for some of Baker Motorsports upcoming product lines!! The world of Raptor mods is about to get very interesting!!

That name calling was not directed at your Raptizzle. It was directed at the chief complainer on the other forumz, the one that's a moderator (who along with his cohorts have banned more people over the posts that didn't agree with him).

He's made his abuse of his Raptor a huge issue and it's causing problems for Ford and the Raptor's reputation. If you think it's a free society and people's negative, accusatory posts accusing Ford of a known frame design flaw is allowed and has no affect on Ford or the future of the Raptor, stay tuned. There will be repercussions due to his posts and if you think my calling him a crybaby whiner b***h isn't OK, I wonder if you will stand up for Ford and call his complaints what they really are?

There's a reason Ford is the only company making a Raptor and there'll be a reason it'll be killed sooner than expected. I hope you'll see that after you stop complaining about my non-family friendly post :D

Can anyone provide a link to any posts about Raptor frame bending before the recent run of 14 Raptors during which 10 Raptor owners bent their frames? I'll bet you'll be hard pressed to find more than 1. There's a reason for that and very few people are speaking out about how those Raptors were driven on frame bending weekend.

Let's get back to the great work you've had Baker Motorsports do to your Raptor!

I hope you'll post pics of the whole thing especially the underside so we can see what's been done. I'm all for bolt-on stuff but since any vehicle run offroad will break - it's just a matter of when - this kind of work that you're courageously doing is the most interesting I've seen done to the Raptor. I commend you for your courage (and bank account) to permanently alter the character of your rather expensive stock (and under warranty) truck.

I hope Baker Motorsports will spend a few bucks and come on here full-force showing us all what can be done with our Raptors to make them even more offroad capable.

Let's see some more pics Raptizzle! Tell us more...

I'm digging what you've done :bananamania:

As requested...rapdate6.jpgrapdate10.jpgannnnnd, part of our solution to the raptor frame flex...rapdate15.jpg
Thanks, That looks pretty cool for sure. Now I do have some questions, why with all that work and money are you still running the factor bump stops? And did boxing in the frame for the Raptor flex come before or after all the bent frames started showing up?

We're not running the factory bumpstops. We just haven't taken them off yet! haha We're going to run fox hydraulic bumpstops.

The plate over the bumpstop area is something we usually do when adding aftermarket bumpstops... we tie in the bumpstop to the frame and the new bedcage, so that plate was already in the works when we found out about the frame flex. It was convenient for our other raptor customers though, because we have the piece templated out, and people can get just the plate now.

Looks like high quality fab and weld work!

Just curious about this:

rapdate10.jpg

Wouldn't this have been a lot stronger and less stressful on the weld if the tube was attached to the top of the frame instead of the side as shown in the above picture? I don't know how much stress that weld gets but if it's stressed it seems that a gusset under the tube would help or mounting it on top of the frame would be even better.

Just asking - not criticizing.

So i guess the frame rail crush zone is something an experienced offroader would have notice and why I asked about it. As for the Fox bumps, are you guys custom mounting them or does Fox Shox make a set up for the Raptor?

We stayed as close to the side of the bedsides as we could to retain bedspace. Having the tube coming off the side hasn't given us any strength issues before. We've probably done it on at least 10 vehicles that are still hittin the dirt

As for the bumstops, no fox doesn't make anything. We custom mount them right now, but stay tuned, cuz we might have a few surprises comin out soon =)
