Original Ford "Raptor" by Galpin Auto Sports?

I've seen these Galpin Ford F-150's before. Mostly in white or black and I would not be surprised this is where Ford got the idea for the Raptor.

I don't know much about the Galpin Auto Sports trucks. They are a 35th Anniversary truck and there is not much info on them. I did read a story about them though almost 10 years ago I just don't remember it.

Anyone know about these trucks?

Don't believe Galpin had anything to do with the Raptor build, and that is a NF155 I believe it was called and it was built by Ford

Also, what makes you think Galpin had anything to do with the Raptor's?

I don't know why but that thing kinda bugs me, looks like one of those cheap kits you put on a jeep or something.

I thought Galpin Auto Sports or GAS used to be West Coast Customs? I know GAS did the Halo Raptor build for the competition Bungie did.

Every time I saw a truck like this is had a Galpin plate on it so I assumed it was something to do with Galpin Auto Sports, especially since the article I read about it mentioned Galpin Ford. I would swear I thought it said it was a GAS exclusive.

The design is not perfect but as is it looks better than a Reaper or Ram Runner. The look and parts (like Fox shocks and wheels) have a Raptor like appearance. The Raptor looks like a far more refined example of this truck.

Galpin having any part of the Raptor development was just speculation as I didn't know this truck was a Ford option.
