My dealer didn't have an allocation for a Raptor when I ordered mine. I don't think this would be a bad thing necessarily. I am the only order at my dealer for a Raptor so when they do get their allocation I will get mine first rather than being way down the totem pole at another dealer who does gave some allocations but lots of people on the list ahead of you.
Just my opinion on this.

Thanks for the input was just wondering. Sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread

I was told when I was shopping around that it does matter. The dealer can't place the order until they have allocation from the factory. They ordered mine the day I was in because they had allocation. It's crazy that the factory only allows dealers to order them based on sales performance. The more they sell the quicker they can get them. I'd pay a little more to get it a couple months sooner.

Where I bought mine last week, they have 20 orders in front of mine. Told me 16-24 weeks because of the allocation wait. Said no issues getting their allocation just got a lot in front of me.

I'd be worried they told you that just to get your order. If it didn't matter there would be no allocations.

somebody is BS'ing somebody else. An customer ordered vehicle does not impact dealer allocation. Even if a dealer has no allocation for a Raptor he can still do a customer order. That is why most dealer offer a much better deal on an ordered vehicle than a lot vehicle because of dealer allocation.

With the increased production I may get it sooner just haven't asked. I figured worst case scenario. I don't know but I read about Screws getting priority over Scabs. I ordered a Scab. Also my salesman mentioned something about holiday shutdown or something. Hopefully I am wrong on how long it will take.

I ordered a scab 9/4 and was built 11/12... I thought it would be a while too but they are building scabs with the screws.
