This thread has a link (first post) to a detailed oil filter comparison:

http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f7/oil-filter-comparison-25753/

After reading the comparison, I decided to use the Wix filter. They are on Amazon for less than $9.

For oil I use Mobil 1 extended life and I change it every 5k.

The Amsoil filter is conspicuously absent from that comparison. But for the sake of comparison, I have posted a similar cutaway for the Amsoil filter below. Also, even though the retail price of that filter is $17 and change, I can get it for less for those that want to contact my personally about their purchases.

The oil filter. Folks wanting to not spend $18 or so on a filter. That's not even the amount we spend on dinner and this is something you don't spend again for several months. If we are talking about some Chevy S10 POS in a Chevy forum, then I can see folks gripping over $10 difference but raptor owners, I don't get it.

Mobil 1 full synthetic. Ford Filter. That's what I've been using since new. 68k miles

I decided to go with the Ford Racing Filter this time around, hopefully it produces some good results! Full synthetic Mobil 1 5W20 has been the oil of choice on my end for a while too

I agree with you 100%! You drive a $70,000 truck and you are too cheap to buy a filter over $10! I would hate to see what these people decided what to do and what not to do at the 100k service! haha!
I bought the Ford Racing filter from the dealer (didn't have time to go buy one myself, and need them to install to keep warranty) and it was $31.50 CDN. Happy Decision on my end!
