Here's the deal, use 91(lowest ethanol free octane) and reap the 2 mpg difference. 36 gallon tank will get you 72 miles. Divide 72 by 4(+-) and you get $18 boost in fuel savings/use

Bottom line: why pay $60k for a truck then use shit gas??? Use premium

currently running 91 ETHANOL FREE fuel

getting 15 mpg highway and 13.5 around town. I'm on the throttle often, ask the chevy guys ;)
These old BFG's are always chirp'n and scream'n. Traction is a constant issue. Truck hauls ass. Worst mpg I've seen was 11 and I was driving very aggressive.

Drove my brother's crew cab 4x4 5.0 for a week. He's running 35" tires. I got 16 mpg highway and maybe 13.9 around town. The fuel economy is sooooo close it's an easy decision. 6.2 get's decent mpg's for it's size and power

18.8 MPG running Shell 91 octane from Glendale, Ca to Indio, Ca. AC blasting the whole way. Not too many hills. When I was going between 55-66 I was getting 16mpg. When I bumped up to 70-75 mpg I started getting 18. Highest I got was 19.0 mpg

140+- miles running 91 octane at speeds between 55-75mph got me an average of 18.8 mpg and I couldn't be happier!!!!

Hello all just chiming in while I'm waiting. I've never trusted those avg mpg counters. Used to have a f350 stroker and it was off all thee time. Can someone do this on 6.2 crew.........run it till empty filler up, record the gallons in, clear odometer trip and drive it till its empty. Let me know both reads or let us know both reads and get us true figures

Appreciate it!

I will post my numbers. I go through a tank a week. I am back to running regular after running the dunes with premium.
