87 octane, 5.4L and averaging 16.5 mpg........17K miles on the truck. You fellas using 91 octane are just wasting your money.

If I could get regular grade fuel at 87 octane, I would probably run it. But regular here is 86 octane. The owners manual state's anything below 87 octane is not recommended even at high altitudes. So I could run mid grade (which is 88 irrc), but if I'm going to pay extra I might as well run the 91 and squeak a tad more power out of it.
