The computer is Ford/microsoft based. Do you trust either of them?

Bro - if ya really want the facts, you're gonna have to do the miles and record what you put in it. Kinda like the good ole days when we had to figure it out on paper... Me, I don't care as my gas is a company write off - but it'd be interesting to see how other members here keep records of fill-ups vs. miles driven.

I was going to include a snapshot of my excell fuel spreadsheet but the formatting got all wack. What I have found is that the computer tends to give a little better result in the mileage, but that could also be a result of inconsistant fueling.
The overall difference since I got my Raptor is
Average Measured MPG: 15.00 Average computer MPG: 15.26
But, remember Excell is a Microsoft program, so we are back to the trust issue.......

Less with the JDM tune in it?

Are you running a tune anymore? Seems to me the tune should have helped the mpg out.

Jeff

i didn't have the tune for very long and i drove like a total buffoon so i can't say for sure. i was still in the period of letting my right foot think when i had the tune. when i did a few highway trips it was definitely better but i had one stretch where i was getting like 8-9mpg lol

I've put about 750 miles on the truck a week since Jan 8 and my average mileage is 13mpg. About a quarter of that can probably be considered city driving. My driving style in this truck has been a bit more conservative than it was in my old Dodge. By no means am I one to stick to the speed limit but, I'm not leaving rubber on the deck at every traffic signal either.

I noticed something interesting...

I've been tracking my mileage very carefully and have been pegged on 12.8 MPG mixed highway/city/hills. I changed my oil a few weeks ago and since then, I'm getting 13.5 MPG under exactly the same conditions. Seems goofy to me but whatever...

Calculated my mileage today. 90% hwy driving 60-75 mph: 17.01 mpg, not too bad! Cluster says 15.1 but in its defense it hasn't been reset in some time.

I've been using premium fuel for the past few tanks and my mileage hasn't gotten any better but the power has (appeared) to increase.

I've been tracking my mileage with an excel spreadsheet over my (just under) 13,000 miles and it's steady at 13.2. Now, I do live in a city area and that's soon to kinda change with my move to Florida as well as a drastic climate change.

Is it me, or does the truck seem to LOVE warmer/hot weather?
