Been awhile since it's been relevant to me, but as I recall you aren't paying the sales tax and maybe the excise tax? Don't recall for sure, but it was cheaper on base than off.

1999-2015 and being gone a lot was enough for me. Drill weekends are over...
The guard people I deployed with were awesome and the people I worked with for the first 8 years of 10 at cockweed fartin were cool but the rest of CA sucked blue whale.

Back in MN it isn't what it used to be but better gas prices out in the sticks but the TX gulf coast gas, fishing and TRR's might be my direction.

Yeah I've been regular army, reserves and guard, good dudes , I'm an instructor now. Done with combat arms and in the suck all.the time. I miss being a platoon Sgt but love my new gig.

I filled up from 1/2 tank at the Bucee's in New Braunfels for $3.999 gal Monday night after the wife and I went to watch Thor at the Drive-in. I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled in.
