So you sold him Morell Maximo Ultra 602 6.5" 2 way speakers, silicone baffles for the speakers, an LC2i, a Skar EVL loaded sub 6.5", Hush Car Audio door panels according to his post. I know a lot of people are interested in something sounding better than the stock B&O system without breaking the bank. Care to elaborate on that package and any other suggestions for folks who are NOT audiophiles looking to spend a lot, but do want a little "more"? Other than the speakers, I don't even know what those components are.

I personally have a gunfire related hearing issue and don't like the sound to be too bright.

I'd be interested in some more info also, @Hush Car Audio. Is there any way to easily break this up into maybe a few different purchases/installs so as not to have to purchase everything at one time, or is it something that really should just all be done at once?

Any chance of getting a price breakdown on those items that @Oldfart bought from you?

How difficult is the install? I'm competent with removing door panels, soldering (if necessary), etc, but not sure if there is any other sort of technical work that would be necessary.

Thanks for the help!

The system that oldfart got was a decent setup not meant to blow the doors off. It's the first basic setup that will be an improvement over the stock system. It was the cheapest setup I could come up with that offers better results. The bass improvement alone is awesome and worth the investment. It won't rattle mirrors and **** off any neighbors. You won't hear it outside of the truck. His setup was to be as even sounding on the highs to the lows as possible without having to blast the volume. If this is what you want then I'd recommend replicating his build. I'll need to know exactly what it is that you are seeking so I can put together a package for you. I totally get not wanting super bright highs. I hate that myself and will never build a system that does that. This is a reason why I don't like selling Focal speakers. They get too bright for my liking as well as many others. Give me some feedback as to your goals and I'll work something up for you.

This would be better to install all at once so you aren't having to remove panels multiple times. You don't want to wear down the retaining clips otherwise you'll introduce rattles in the truck. The install process isn't very hard if you've done work like this before. If this is your first time then you might find it a tad frustrating. After you've done it once the next time would probably take half the time meaning it's not a hard job if you know what you're doing. The hardest part will be installing the amp wiring kit through the firewall. The rest is pretty easy stuff to do. There are a lot of videos on Youtube showing how to swap speakers on these trucks. Installing the sound deadening is super easy to do. You peel and stick the stuff on. I recommend using a roller to keep in in place better. I'm always available to help you by phone when you are doing the install.

So it seems I may want his identical setup. I have no interest in people hearing it outside the truck. I do want it to sound more rich and full for ME. The OE sound is pathetic. The sound system is really the only part of the truck I feel I was robbed of my money on. I can't believe my Wife's 2014 4Runner sounds a hell of a lot better. Can you please send me a little more info about the parts, what they do, and a quote? I prefer to support local when I can, but definitely forum vendors who support people AFTER the sell.

@Hush Car Audio, if you don't mind sending me the same info (more info about the parts, what they do, and a quote), I'd be interested also. I don't know that I can buy them this month (just bought a new intercooler and am about to buy a tuner), but maybe in the next 2-3 months. I know that prices might change, so no problem if the quote is only good for a certain amount of time, but I'm just interested in getting some info/prices so that I know what to expect when the time comes. Thanks!

Why don't you do a quote on here for all of us as there might be quite a few of us in the market.
