I've done alot of reading and it seems that the above subject is pretty popular. I'm not trying to start another thread on the usefulness of these oil separators since I'm definitely gonna get one.

I have one on my GT500 and have seen first hand that they work.

I'm using a Bob's oil separator on my Shelby and it works great. I haven't checked yet to see if they make one for my 2018 Raptor yet which I've only had for a week but definitely want to add one soon.

I'm basically curious as to which one you selected for your Raptor if you have one and why.

I see JLT has one and UPR. If you have one of these or a different vendor can you tell me why you selected it and if you've had any issues with it.

JLT seems to be more popular but I think that may be more due to price. The UPR setup is ultimate setup especially if you add the CSS. We offer both. message me if you would like a quote or additional information

Just installed my UPR...short writeup in the “what did you do to your Raptor today” thread. Very happy with it and Nick hooked me up with a FRF deal...

Pros: OEM fit and finish (better actually), and a third line (plus check valves in both “clean” lines) that draws vacuum even under boost so you always get filtered air coming back through the PCV system. Mounts under the intake so it’s basically invisible...even though fit and finish is show car quality. Easy to install and service; I can reach The drain petcock through the driver side wheel well.

Cons: Spendy; more than double the price of the JLT system that takes care of probably 95% of the blowby.

I may have gone with the JLT if their new version that mounts by the battery instead of up on the firewall (and has better line routing) was out when I purchased a few weeks ago, but very happy with the UPR setup. Buy once, cry once.

Had a JLT on my Gen 1 for 5 years and it worked perfectly. Just installed another JLT on my Gen 2 a month ago and look forward to many years with it.

I had the UPR one on my '17 for 25k miles. It worked well. When I de-modded my '17 to trade it in, there was only a few drops of oil in my intercooler. Pretty impressive. I emptied the catch can every 3k miles when I changed my oil.

I'm considering selling my UPR and getting a Radium catch can setup for my '19. It gets really cold here in the winter. There is speculation that the UPR catch can location can cause it to freeze on the sub zero temp days. The radium cans are mounted on the firewall by the engine and I think would have less chance of freezing.

I'm going to do something soon. If nobody buys my UPR one that I have listed, I'll just keep it and put it on my '19

I have the JLT on my 18 and price was the selection factor. When researching which to purchase removing 95 % was good for me. It’s the original not the new one with longer pipes so it’s mounted on the fire wall. Only drawback is Iremove can from firewall to empty. Engine cover really makes it tight to empty can. What the heck is an extra minute while working on my dream tru ck.

I have a 2019 Raptor and am going to install my UPR catch can with CSS today.

Does anyone know if I need to disconnect the negative from the battery?

They don't in the video posted below but I thought I'd ask here on the forum.
