This has probably been asked before, but has anyone used Lucas Synthetic additive with their oil change on their gen 1 6.2 w/supercharger?

The only additive I'd even consider is Prolong. Simply because it came highly recommended by someone who has no financial interest in it, has been involved in building and racing professional drag racing engines for over 50 years. He said they've tried it all, and they still use this. https://prolong.com/a_et.html

I just run normal motor oil in all of my vehicles, even the highly modified big HP stuff. I've never used any type of additive in any fluid for that matter, other than UV leak dye. Ford's oiling systems are very good. I would not worry about it on a blown 6.2L. I'd put some fresh synthetic in there every 5K and call it a day.

It’s useful as an assembly lube due to the fact that it is very tacky and clings to surfaces, but I would not recommend it as an additive. It causes oil aeration higher RPMs, which can starve the pump and engine components of oil.

Just did the first oil change in my Gen 2. I paid for the service plan which I am debating on canceling. I found out that if i want to use full syn I have to pay the difference which is $50. Otherwise i get the recommended syn blend. I have always used full syn but I have had a few guys tell me that the blend is recommended for a reason and it is what works best in that motor. Not sure I believe that but first oil change got the blend until i can get to the answer.

Full synthetic is the better performing oil on all accounts, regardless of engine.
