I let for Ford dealer **** me until I either void the warranty or it is expired. Then I change it myself using Mobil 1 and Ford Racing filters.

At first it hurts...then I void the warranty and say **** it.

$42 to $80 with tire rotation, depending on if I have a coupon. You can go to your dealerships website or Fords site for coupons. My dealership did add a couple of bucks per qt. for additional oil.

Costco had Mobil 1 on sale, $35 for 6 quarts. Not too shabby. Pepboys was $10/qt and Autozone was $9/qt, so needless to say we stocked up considering the 5.0 takes EIGHT quarts lol

How much does a Raptor take?

I plan on using the Ford Syn Blend the first 10k miles or so, then switch to mobile 1. I do the work myself but keep the reciepts for the oil for warranty sake as proof.

I used to be a motorcycle road racer. All the engine builders back then said to run the crappiest oil on the market (it was a brand called Rosebud Oil) for the first while on a new engine or rebuild until everything seated in, then run synthetic after that.

I dont understand that at all, if I go to a local shop instead of the dealer its still only $50 bucks and they use Mobil 1 full syn and filter.

Thats a great price for full synth and filter, I would do that price anytime especially for 7.2 quarts that these trucks hold. 5 quart containers of Mobil 1 here by Chicago are around 39 dollars a piece and a Mobil 1 filter is like 12 dollars so doing it yourself here the right way is around 70 dollars. A lot of these prices that are being quoted have to be blend with a cheap filter or I would definitely find out what someone is doing to my truck for 39 dollars, that doesn't even sound right. I only do 2 oil changes a year so its not really costing that much.
