There is a bracket that mounts to the body and then plate slips on it and then it's secured with 2 security screws at the bottom.

You do you brother. I've had it since 2019 and all the other cars in the house have them as well.

Plate sticker thief and plate thief are very much a thing here in Los Angeles. This solves 2 problems but when I update my reg, it happens that moment and I don't need to hope/wait for the mail to deliver it.
