Hey Hollywood 1.....appears you have some type of frame in the bed of the truck. I see angle bars at the tailgate. is this a frame product offered by a company? or a custom you built?

RPG Bed Brace. Works very well. I say that because after Baja, I was checking everything, and the bed bolts had loosened up. I imagine that bed did some big-time flexing during the 1500 miles, LOL.

I want to do the Baja run also.....living in North Carolina it would take a bit just to get there. Have watched lots of videos and looks challenging, fun, and a lifetime experience.

It was a lot of fun. Check my thread in the past expeditions area. Last run I was on there were 2 trucks from Tennessee. As long as your truck has a radio and GPS, you're pretty much good to go. You need spares too, plenty of flats.

Just in case you are interested, there are events that are much more local to you to wet your whistle before you go to Mexico.

Went out this weekend and wasn't able to secure my storage box. I have seen people with tracks in the bed that allow movable hooks or eyelets to secure things to. Where are people finding them? And please share your pictures for mounting.

You know I’m a big fan of the CargoGlide. Lots of tie down points. The Jack holder is bolted to the CG.
And being a Titanium Member of the Fuxked Up Back & Neck Club, the CG saves my back (what’s left of it).

Not really going to work with a bypass rack though.

I picked up a section of the US Cargo Control L track. Will give that a try once the bypass rack is bolted in.

I bought the green box from a storage unit auction but I've seen them in military surplus.. it's pretty heavy duty as it was used for a piece of coms equipment.. came with a lot of foam inside and works well if I'm going on a longer trip like snoball and need to carry a lot. My short trip set up is the black Plano box in place of the fuel cans. Basics like tools and recovery gear fit fine, but if I'm bringing spares and shovels I bring the green box.

RPG with custom powdercoat. Added a couple tie down points and the pro eagle big wheel 2 ton jack mount, and two flag mounts..

I've been looking for a aluminum box to bolt down between the tires on my SDHQ tire carrier. I have found a couple but the ones I have found don't really offer much storage space due to them being short in height. The space it is to fit in is around 21" wide by 15" deep. , if it was more like 24" there are lots more options. I currently strap down a Action packer but was looking for something more permanent that I can lock down and it not walk off.
Any ideas?
