Has anyone installed the OEM ford security module? Part number FT4Z19A361A . If so what does it do. Dealership isn’t much help. They say it adds remote start features. I already have remote start. I was looking for more of an alarm.

The only thing i can find is that you can add 1 of 3 remotes for autostart capability. one way, two way, and one with a lot of range. you can also add a security light as well. i cannot find any info if this is a security module.

I believe its a shock sensor just like the one I added for my 2020.

I also have the remote start before I purchased my module and the remote start function was retained after I installed it.

Mine was KN1Z-19A361-A and was a plug and play unit.

That’s the perimeter plus module AKA shock sensor. One of the best investments you can make. My truck was broken into a week after I bought it. No shock sensor so when they broke the glass, the alarm didn’t go off. I added the shock sensor, now when anyone or anything touches my trucks it gives a warning honk. If the shock persists, the module sounds the alarm.

So if this is the shock sensor add on where does it install at? Also is there a way to test or see if this module is installed already. I bought my raptor used.

The number OP posted is for the GEN 1 FT4Z19A361A
search "OEM Genuine Ford Parts Scalable Shock Security System Kit" for the thread on GEN 2
Has pictures where they are installed.

The part number I posted is for a gen 2. I made a bracket for it that bolts on to the area above the left side of the brake pedal assembly.

It works well for what it's worth and work with the ford pass app on mine. I made a led light assembly that plugs to the two pin connector on the module as well.

Look under the dash and see if you can find a box with a small knob on it.

Another is with the doors locked, if you knock hard on the windshield near the driver side or if you pull hard on the door handle, it should honk once.
