Do you work for Nav-TV? That piece is a ripoff at $850.

@BBLV yes and no. The new B&O amp uses serial USB to get digital audio from the sync 3 APIM to the amp. So, it would honestly be possible to harvest the audio. But someone is going to have to figure out what protocol/drivers is/are used to send the digital audio to the B&O amp. My guess is that NAV-TV paid a lot to figure this out, and the B&O amp is a DAC and Amplifier. So the NAV-TV piece is a USB DAC and pre-amp. Once it is sussed out, you could probably build a raspberry pi to decode the audio (from the USB), and output TOSLINK or RCA output. I wonder if you could plug a USB DAC in and get audio out. I have some USB DACs. But the NAV-TV piece is 12 channels out, that works with the sync's balance, fader, subwoofer, and mid/high/low EQ. So it might not work with my two channel DACs.
Alternatively, I keep asking if you could use ForSCAN (we already know the codes to control how audio is output from the APIM), and set the APIM back to the setting it used for the SONY amp, and then use the $250 PAC piece. I just don't have the time and disposable $250, to try it out. I will end up ordering this NAV-TV adapter in the next few weeks, so I can just have a shop do my stereo. If I keep waiting until I have the time to tinker with it, it will never get done.
I might catch a wild hair in the next couple of weeks and mess with the USB that is plugged into the B&O amp.

It's not USB audio, be careful and don't try to plug the "USB" (HSCAR connector) into any PC equipment or you may damage the PC and / OR the amp / Radio.
It's an automotive audio standard called A2B:

"Got mine today. 44 hrs from giving credit card # to having it in my hands. Pretty good for international shipment!
She is all installed and worth every penny (to me anyway)
My Coles notes:
Unit is really small. About the size of two pack of smokes. Mounting tabs would be a nice touch. I wrapped some nylon tie straps around it and screwed it to the back side of my amp wall.
I ran optical output from the Zen to my Audiocontrol dm-810
At first, I thought I had full fader and balance control, but it turned out I didnt. Fader messes with the balance. With fader set to middle, balance works fine.
When tying into the Can Lo and Hi signal wires, you might be tempted to just cut the wire from the plug - there are two of each going into the factory amp plug, using common pin on the plug. The system needs the can low and hi to go through this, so you have to "tee" into one set of these, or else a bunch of other stuff wont work (like your dash, speedo, tach, radio (important)...
Overall instalation was quite simple.
SOUND QUALITY: !!!! WOW
One million percent improvement. No time delay messing with the signal summing... flat EQ.
I am sure pricing of this unit will come down when there is some competition, but I am more than satisfied."
If it really sounds that good it may be worth the price.... I already feel ripped of with the price of the B&O, so I might as well upgrade it or forever feel like I was screwed paying so much for a crappy sound system.
any thoughts guys ? I am new to this, Got my Raptor last week and I HATE the way it sounds !

Does this Zen A2B solution allow you to remove the factory B&O amp, or does it just "T" into the digital signal line?
I called and spoke to nav tv and they said balance and fader should work. I wonder if it only works if you use the rca out instead of the fiber out.

The ZEN A2B completely removes and replaces the factory B&O amp/dsp along with the factory sub. Just like the DSR1 for the sony system but an a2b interface instead. Leaves tons of room behind the seat for your new amp rack.

I have a release candidate update available for you as a private release - I have been testing it this entire weekend until today, and I feel it's ready for prime, but your feedback here would be important to me.
This would be a private link and would be removed after we all agree to the functionality.
Changes this version -
1. Adjusted various chime levels and alerts, fixed zero volume chime mute, changed backup alerts to be consistent with the factory system sounds.
2. Bumped master gains by 6dB, Discovered the OEM radio does not output a real 0dBFS signal but something closer to -6dBFS. New revision is now louder, as a result.
3. Changed Dip switch 2 from -12dB attenuation to -6dB attenuation. I would recommend keeping this switch OFF for full scale output unless you are very heavy on the factory tone controls.
