Not happy with magnaflow muffler

I put the Magnaflow 12388 (MagnaFlow Exhaust Products - For Trucks, Suv's, American Muscle, Diesel, & Sport Compact Vehicles) on my Raptor. I left the resonator in place (it doesn't hurt anything) and I think that the Magnaflow is a little bit louder than the factory muffler, but smoother and lower in tone. One characteristic of the factory muffler that I miss is that when you're at WOT there was a raw/raspy sound to it. The Magnaflow muffler is smoother, and the raspy quality is gone.

There is no way the Magnaflow muffler is more restrictive than the factory muffler. You can't see straight through the factory muffler, but you can see daylight through the Magnaflow.

How so? 0-60 times slower? Putting less power down on the dyno? The "butt dyno" is notoriously inaccurate...

Yeah butt dyno only. Maybe just my imagination.

I hated the stock exhaust so I put on a 10
Series and really like the sound, but after hearing a few others with the Black Widow muffler I really wanted it, so it's going on as soon as I get the chance

Trust me it crossed my mind!

I've got a brand new SpinTech sitting in my garage for the Sport Trac that I've gotta sell, becase that truck is also getting the Black Widow mufflers!

I went with a Roush cat back (which deletes the resonator) and CAI on mine and I love it! You can get them both together as a package from Roush.
