I am going to make a reservation at Bechtel Creek INN. They do take walk ins I doubt it will be full. I will camp Saturday night Sunday night. I will bring a tent my wifes not to keen sleeping in the truck and I am taller than you guys. Waking up Saturday to eat breakfast and ready for drivers meeting... Then headout for some driving...

hey Ice PM me your number and if i end up coming up friday night i'll more than likely meet up at the same hotel and we can head out in the AM. im still debating but to me getting up at 0530 sat morning and then driving up to willits and then driving all day may burn me out so the night before may make more sense...

i may end up staying at the motel 8 instead though lol the place you spotted while it looks very nice, is more of a lovey dovey look lol i think a tattooed asian guy in a big truck may feel more at home in the motel 8 lmao

That was my original plan, but they suggested not too because they had some legal issues on the SnoBall. I guess they had a few accidents and they cops didn't care for their "race numbers".

We didn't have any legal issues, but a certain supporting vendor did after an accident on a previous event. The problem is when cops & insurance companies see number placards they immediately think racing and illegal activities.

When MB & I discussed the placards I suggested no numbers, but not because of legal issues as much as it being a smaller run it would keep the costs down.

yeah i love the placards design! and as far as numbers go i think someone said home depot sells magnet numbers so we could buy those and re use when needed and remove on main roads... it would be mainly for communication and the rare "where the hell did #4 go?!" lol

Most important for me is it is not right on the freeway it is down a side road from 101 (main street willits). I dont want my truck full of gear sitting where everyone driving by can see it easily. Unwanted attention I dont want to have things taken. Yes in the Motel I will have a gun (its legal) but prefer not to confront soemone and have to shoot them before the trip starts. Its a few bucks more to get out of the way at Bechtel Creek Inn. I have stayerd there before its clean and I can get a room downstaris and park in front of the window. That way I dont even have to go outside to shoot someone. I will drive up Friday its a 7 hour drive for me. Leaving gilroy around 9 AM and should arrive in Willits about 5 to 6 PM depending on stops... Good night sleep and ready for the trails Saturday. Anyone getting in to Willits let me know we can eat and hang out until it gets late...

Hmm u make some valid points... Ill let u know if I head up Friday, if I do I'll be arriving around 2-4ish so I can still have some down time to relax before heading to bed...

Next weeks the prerun so if you guys have any suggestions on things we should check out while we are up at Shelter Cove let MB and I know. I'm going to look into the dunes up there and try and check out a few trials for Sunday.
