I just picked up a new 2020 this week and while looking for something to do, I decided to remove the turbo silencers from the intake. I like hearing what the turbos are doing and the high schooler in me likes the turbo whine.

I pulled apart the intake track to find that there are no silencers. I even ran a borescope down to the compressor wheel and nothing. The turbo’s are dead silent so I’m guessing they switched to some other method to attenuate their noise. Does anyone know what it could be?

The turbo compressor inlet was switched to a ported shroud design in 2018 that eliminated some of the turbo whoosh noise and improved the pre-turbo swirl ratio. Therefore, no intake silencers post turbo change (some 18MY, 19MY, and 20MY)

My 2020 didn’t have them either. I can hear the turbos quite a bit though
Do you have an after market intake or filter? I think I see some silencing featured in the intake/filter.

My 2019 did have them.. Maybe it was just an early MY19 version.

A CAI will make the noise you want if you really want it. My ‘17 has them and I didn’t take them out when I put the Cobb intake on and if you have the window down the swoosh and patoooie sound is prominently audible.

Mechanically my 2020 Raptor is completely stock and I can hear the Turbos, mostly at slower speeds.
