The XM live traffic will just let you know that you are sitting in traffic. It doesn’t do a good job of routing. It will put you right in the middle of it and let you know you will be delayed. If you want better traffic routing then use waze or the latest version of Apple Maps. Plus built in maps are at least 2 years old at best.

Yes big problems with that and Sirius radio have been reported.
I have experienced the above and apperently Ford is looking into it

The 802 Nav is frustrating. Traffic updates...are sh*t. Adding waypoints screws with knowing your ETA. Using Google eats your data but, it is accurate and lets you change waypoints easier.
Just drove back from Cape Cod and the Factory Nav does not know exit numbers around Boston! Plain Stupid.
I have Sirius Radio.
I've never intentionally updated the Nav system.

unless you’re actively navigating, xm traffic list doesn’t do much. Yeah you can see traffic close by but it doesn’t always help you, particularly if you’re in unknown territory.

That’s not always a bad thing. 2 years ago, leaving OBX northbound, we hit a pretty long line of traffic at a standstill. Ford nav was not routing me out of or around this. I knew there were local roads that could get us to where we needed and eventually my iPhone willingly cooperated, sending me all over hell and creation, about 30 miles out of the way, to get 5 miles or so northward, and while I ended up missing some of the backup, I also ended up seeing some familiar cars as I got back to the interstate. :-(

Most of these 3rd party nav apps have there short comings. But I’m giving Waze the nod here. I consider the oem’s a joke and Sirius for traffic? Are you Sirius?

Looks like if you get and want to use Bluecruise in the future, your going to have to use Fords Navi. Curious to see how this all works out.

Waze FTW! I use it every drive if I'm on the highway at all - it is the best at keeping track of where the popo is. Plus the real time traffic re-routing is awesome too.
