My shocks were do for rebuilding so I did the shock exchange program with all the typical upgraded goodies and at the same time I added Deaver +3's and Eibachs.

I completed this project 3 months ago (~6,000 miles). I walk out to the truck this morning and find this (see pics). I have an exchange replacement shock coming at no charge, but it may take a few weeks to receive. Anything I need to look out for while waiting on the new shock, other than oil spraying in the wheel well and on the frame?

Also, the Deaver's continue to make a subtle clunk sound from starting out from a stop to acceleration. The ujoints look fine and are tight and I never hear it when shifting gears. Anyone else with Deavers hear this?

I had an f-250 that I installed the carli add a pack on and the new leafs did make a little noise. I put the truck on a lift and added a little grease between each leaf and that did the trick.
I also use cable lubricant on stuff like that, it penetrates well and doesn't attract too much gunk once it dries.

Who did you use for exchange program? Did they explain why that happened?
TSW. I imagine they wouldn’t be able to tell until they breakdown the shock. I only had 30 day warranty so I appreciate them sending me another“new” rebuilt shock. I wish it wasn’t going to take a few weeks. I may just buy new Fox 3.0’s and put on next week, and then sell the rebuilt since only have a few miles on them.
