Dave from KHC took my truck for a spin and he said he really liked how the road

My SCT Livewire TS suction mount kept falling off and the bracket eventually broke. I always hated how my very expensive tuner was held on by a cheap suction mount. I also don't car for the mount for above the radio they sell now. so I looked for a better way and found this. u need the following to do the mod:
-obviously a SCT livewire TS. can be purchased @Freedom Motorsports or 5 star tuning
-edge products mount http://www.edgeproducts.com/product...ash+Pods&pvname=2009-2014+Ford+F-150+Dash+Pod . I got this from Chris@Freedom Motorsports
-edgects adapter plate http://www.edgeproducts.com/product.php?pk=131&pvk=354 also from Freedom Motorsports
-some heavy duty Velcro tape. I used some 3M stuff from work.
ok so to start I routed the SCT cable that goes to the OBDII port thru the dash and sneaked it out under the dash and weather stripping (sorry how the pic came out)

next I mounted the pod as said in instructions. don't forget to clean and prep all surfaces, I also added some Velcro tape on the lower right hand side from the pod to the silver dash panel just to make the mount a little more sturdy.

then take the adapter and break the little **** (hehe:hidesbehindsofa:)) off. then file them down smooth

then apply some Velcro tape on it

now on the livewire put Velcro tape on the back and remember not to cover the S/N label as u need that for tuning. so I cut out around the label. as u can see I never did good in arts and crafts class.

now mount the livewire to the pod and plug it in and make adjustments as necessary. I found it easier to mount the adapter to the livewire 1st then push it all in the pod.

I made adjustments so the gap on the right isn't as noticeable since this pic

this was a very easy install. it took less than a hour. its a one beer install. best part is u can sit the beer in the cup holder while u work so no worries about spillage. very simple and quick mod. I did this at 8PM in the rain...
I think it looks pretty good and the fitment is extremely good as long as u sit it in the right spot. its pretty much black in color and is very close to the dash color. ill get some day time pics tomorrow. all the Velcro tape that was provided and I used seem very strong and should not be an issue offroad. time will tell but I don't have any worries.
hope this helps out some of u guys out. any questions or pic request just ask and ill get u the info or pic. Chris@Freedom Motorsports had these in stock and ready to ship when I called.

also here is the hanger I added to the SW lightning cat back. I drilled the frame and relocated a stock hanger to this location than had the rod welded on to the exhaust pipe. the tips barely move now. no worries of this moving too much and moving up and smacking the body. also less likely to break offroad.
