Next-Gen Ford F-150 Raptor Will Get Supercharged 5.2L Predator V8

there is one thing i disagree with you about the gen 2. while its got new tech and better performance, it lacks one thing that the gen 1 has. driver feeling. the gen 2 didnt feel right as a performance truck to me. i dont know why. bu its all personal preference. im not argueing about the performance side of it all. just how it feels when driving.

and add in that it takes a little while to spool up those twin turbos, and the Gen 1 also sounds better at low rpm and makes a crap ton of torque at a low rpm. I hate the exhaust sound on the Gen 2 Raptor. Ford messed up on that one, it should sound more like a GTR or Ford GT than a pissed off bumble bee trying to be a v8?

Of course that is just my opinion.

I don’t want to get into an argument with the Karen’s/ Katherine’s or whatever but I have been surprised to see Gen1 prices holding or going up.

Let’s face it these trucks are cool and highly desirable and we are all in the same family. I do wave to the Gen2’s when I see them even if they are Karen’s. [emoji12]

Of course that is just my opinion.

The turbos are spooled and making more torque than a Gen1 by the time the torque converter is locked up on either truck. That’s been covered to death here.

You must mean doesn't Sound right. It does sound like shit, but there's no lack in performance.
Driver feel??? This is supposed to be an Off Road truck not a pavement princess. Take it off road and see how it feels.
My other car is a GT350, so I know what performance is. This thing is plenty quick, just sounds like ass. Again, this is just my opinion.
Would I like to see a high output V8, hell yeah, but Im not paying 100K for a truck
