and add in that it takes a little while to spool up those twin turbos, and the Gen 1 also sounds better at low rpm and makes a crap ton of torque at a low rpm. I hate the exhaust sound on the Gen 2 Raptor. Ford messed up on that one, it should sound more like a GTR or Ford GT than a pissed off bumble bee trying to be a v8?

Of course that is just my opinion.

The 6.2 ain't a diesel, nor is it even a 7.3 gas. Sound is subjective, everyone has their opinion. As stated earlier, the 3.5 HO makes more torque and at a lower engine speed than the 6.2. It does not "take a while" to spool the turbos whatsoever; we're not talking about some riceboy Supra with a massive diesel size single turbo that needs 5,000 RPM to spool. The Gen II 3.5 will spool it's twin turbos well before 2,000RPM and hit a peak torque of 510 lb/ft before the 6.2 can even reach 434.

Was filling up my truck with 32 gallons of 87 for $1.62 today.

Jenny across the street waiting to turn. I've seen that truck before. Bright blue Gen 2 with brighter orange bead lock rings and giant orange bedside Raptor graphics. Very attention grabbing. It farted it's way out onto the street as it turned and I just had to laugh at the sound it made.

Come on Ford. End the purgatory.
Love the fact that the Gen 1 guys ONLY thing they have to hold on to is the sound since they know the Gen 2 is superior in EVERY other way lol.....it makes me laugh

:derp:

Maybe you have a picture to back of your ******** story?

How about you "end" your posts of being jealous of the faster, better performing, better looking, stronger and newer Gen II. You really need a reality check, if you think that the 6.2 is the pinnacle of performance, you are living in denial.

LOL, lets see if yours last 10 years.
I'm still going strong, laughing all the way when a Gen 2 tries to show off, then that look they have when I blow the doors off them. LOL
