Went with Cobb Stage 2 with TCM, intake, JLY catch can, CVF IC, SPD turbo adapters (haven’t installed them yet) and AMS boost tubes. Really changes the truck.

haven’t thought about exhaust yet, these engines don’t sound very good in my opinion so quieter for exhaust the better. Plus, they don’t add much power anyways.

Are you running Stage 2 without a larger intercooler? Any issues? I've been thinking about flashing up but COBB says you have to do the FMIC.

Same question to RadRaptor.

To the OP, I have COBB Stage 1 flashed, along with the TCM flash, and have been loving it. Would like to do Stage 2 but I'm slightly concerned about wear and tear but moreover I don't want to install a new intercooler which is what COBB recommends.

For exhaust I did Corsa's X-pipe resonator delete. Gives it a nicer sound without going over the top. A bunch of full cat-backs are raspy.

NHdude...do you find the Corsa withe the resonator delete to be a deeper sounding exhaust note? I can’t really tell from the online videos. Doesn’t sound like mich of a change over the stock exhaust. Worth the money for so little change???

Yes, it's louder than stock and the note is deeper for sure. The thing is that the Raptor's noise deadening is really good, so the difference is somewhat mild from inside the cabin. If you want it so you can hear your truck, it might not be worth it to you. If you want it so other people hear your truck, it's worth it IMO. Stomping the throttle in a tunnel or under an overpass is a hoot. Suddenly I'm reminded that the truck is actually loud with the resonator delete.

Little anecdote... A few weeks ago my boss, who has a Trackhawk, was at a light and I turned onto the road in front of him and accelerated at half throttle. When he got to the office he commented that my truck sounds real good with the exhaust mod. Being a V8 guy he'd given me a little crap about the V6 sound when I first got the truck (pre-mod).

That’s awesome and I’ll need to check into the setup. I find the Borla S and Atak to be a little loud and raspy.... if I were 25 and looking for attention...maybe. But at 53 I am more about performance and not attention. I do however NEED to change the sound of this truck!! I miss my Gen1 6.2L sound. Love this new Gen 2 except for that exhaust note.

I bought my wife a 2020 Raptor, and I've been researching some performance mods (exhaust, CAI, tuner, etc). My experience is mostly with Powerstrokes, Mustangs & Corvettes, and as you would expect, those are completely different markets, different vendors, etc. I've noticed that there seems to be a wide range of hp/tq outcomes with various tuners, so I'm curious what the consensus is on which shops are the most trustworthy, which tuners are the best and which performance mods are worth it. No offense to those that think otherwise, but the exhaust on this thing sounds awful, so that will be one of the first things to get changed. Based on some videos as well as forum searches, the "Mountune" exhaust seems to be a good option. In fact, their MRX 600 kit seems to be a great start, though I'm a little surprised that their 93 octane tune is only a 41hp/79tq (at peak) improvement over stock...seems surprisingly low. maybe not?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Congrats!

Well, a lot on timing depends on if you want to keep your warranty or not.

I would recommend the Roush Power Packs because Roush is considered more an OEM and carries a 3/36 warranty along side Ford. These links work for 2020’s

You can get just the cold air kit-

You can get the power pack 1, CAI and Tune-
https://specialtyperformanceparts.c...150-raptor-3-5l-roush-performance-pac-level-1

You can get the power pack Level 2, CAI, Tune and exhaust-
https://specialtyperformanceparts.c...019-raptor-3-5l-roush-performance-pac-level-2

I personally like the sounds of 2 Exhausts. The Roush and the Corsa.

I will upload the sound clips to YouTube and then add them here later. I don’t see any way to just attach a sound clip.

Yep the Corsa resonator delete isn't raspy and it more subtle. Doesn't sound like it's just there to get attention. It's also easy to install at home with just a pair of ramps and basic tools.

I went with the Ngauge tuner and MPT tunes and that's my only performance mod so far (gonna keep the warranty for a little while). I have no idea what the gain is because I don't have access to a dyno, but I will say that the performance difference with the 91PR-X tune is substantial! You won't be disappointed.

I’m a huge fan of the sound I got from the Borla ATAK. I sing it’s praises a lot. I’ve done a lot of mods and it is by far my favorite. I’ll include a YouTube video. Best to listen with good headphones or you won’t get full effect. Still sounds better in person. Love Love Love my Borla ATAK...i’ve Heard others and this one is perfect for me. The Borla S is good too if you want a bit quieter... I think the ATAK is plenty quiet when just cruising without any drone.

How quiet is it? My wife hates loud exhaust - when test driving SUVs, she said "It's so loud! It must be a bad engine" when looking at the BMW X50iM with open throttle. On the highway, cruising around town, is it intrusive? Thanks!

Here are those Exhaust file clips

ROUSH

CORSA

Please note, this is Corsa AND Roush WITHOUT the Resonator Delete. I have heard both and while the Resonator delete makes them LOUDER. I think it makes them both Raspier.
