After driving my rig for a month I notice a lot of road spray/schmutz on the sides and these seem directly the result of tires spray . Also on the inside of the door handles. What mud flaps would be recommended?

Welcome to FRF.

A good car soap then clay bar. Some detail brands have a tar/bug removal spray. Stick with Adam's or Griot's brands for detail products. Some of the lesser quality brands don't work as well.

Welcome man, where in MN?

Also, not sure whats out there for Gen 3, but love my RekGen flaps on my Gen 2. There were lots of options for Gen2 as well.
