Wait and see my friends - the test trucks are still out there and coded with the .5 model year. This rollout will be just like gen 1.... initial units offered with 5.4, and optional 6.2.

Folks want another option for engine because the inherent 3.5 ecoboost design issues were not addressed.

I heard a good while back that ford trademarked the name eco beast and it was a TT V8. Time will tell...

The 5.4L was only used because Ford could not push out the 6.2L in time for the release date, but they were not going to hold back the whole truck because of the motor. Hence why 6 months later, the 6.2L was ready and available. Ford has had 3+ years to work on this HO 3.5L motor. You won't see another motor option or design change until 2019 at the earliest.

LOL yeah they spent all that engineering time to produce a separate HO variant of the (new second generation) 3.5L EcoBoost specifically for the raptor only to use it for 0.5 production years.

The 5.4L was an old engine (2V dates back to the late 90s). They were completely replaced from all ford trucks in 2011 when the coyote and boss took over in the F-150 and SD lines, respectively.

This is true, ecobeast is trademarked by Ford. I was hoping we would have seen this in the GT500 by now.
I could see a 4.3 v8 TT dumped into a truck next. We'll see...

New Untitled Gen 2 Raptor For Sale, Follow Up

Spoke with the person, Eric, that sold my Raptor 2 a couple of days ago and he told me that this Untitled Raptor 2, that they did not order, was sold.
Just a note that I found revealing was the other Raptor that Eric sold and not yet built, was to a person who's trading in his Gen 1 Raptor.
The person who purchased this non-ordered Raptor 2 was also purchased by a person who traded in his Gen 1 Raptor.
Actually this last person saw me driving my new Raptor Gen2, not far from my Dealer, called dealership and purchased it.
Eric did receive at lease 3 prospective buyers from California who really wanted this last Raptor 2 but he could not sell it to them, it Surprised me that the Raptor Gen 2 is not 50 State Omission OK, is that Correct?

I was one of those guys. I would have bought it if it was a 50-state rig.
