Discount tire has always done right by me. They are all I ever use. I usually stand outside the bay and watch them though. It's not that I don't trust them, I just don't trust anybody.

Kauffman tire(they recently changed their name to Mavis Tire) is another story. I had to take my wife's old van there and drop it off because I was busy. They didn't tighten any of the lug nuts. My wife told me one day, the van has a weird shake to it. I went out and looked and the feont driver side only had 2 lug nuts and sheared off 3 studs and destroyed the rotor. I had literally just had the entire brake system replaced a couple weeks before. They fixed it and tried to give me a free oil change coupon. I told the manager where he could shove that coupon and haven't been back since.

I've always had great experiences at Discount. But yes, the tire pressure does make a difference and the door placard trumps all.
