Hey everyone, the time has finally come for us to start welding up our first set of SVC Baja Bolt-on front bumpers. Once we get the bumper on the first test truck we will release more detailed photos for everyone to see.

We did our best to keep the design of the Baja Bolt-on bumper in line with the rest of our bumpers. Clean, sleek and functional, the only difference being no cutting of the frame horns. There will be two skid plate options, multiple light combinations, and best of all, a special lighting package deal that we have worked out with one of the top light manufactures in the industry for special introductory pricing.

Now here is the best part for one lucky person. Once we confirm fitment on the test vehicle, the first bumper will be given away for free!!! We will fill everyone in on the details of how that will work in the days ahead.

First off, thank you to @svc for being so generous and even considering doing something like this. Just another example of just how awesome you guys are.

Now it's taken me quite a bit of time to decide if I even wanted to post in here, as I'm normally the type of person that doesn't put my personal life out on front street. The attached picture was taken by my late wife June 26 2014, incidentally the first time she ever drove it in it's natural habitat. Living literally minutes south of Barstow, we had a going thing that any time the weather was nice and I happened to be home from work without anything truly more pressing going on, we would jump in the truck and run out to Stoddard Valley to catch the sun set. At first she despised the truck and only relented on us purchasing one out her love for me, until she drove it that is. Now my wife was the type of driver that makes everyone else crazy, always doing 5 or so mph below the speed limit, but on that particular day, she was running 65 and had a smile from ear to ear.

Through the last 2 years, we've made some minor mods to make it "ours", but nothing super crazy as our funds went first to the kids, as well as saving for our first house. We've always been the conservative type, opting for a happy home instead of both of us working just to pay it all for child care. Sadly, that all came to an end just over 4 weeks ago when she was killed crossing a street by a (allegedly) speeding car... I still make the sunset drives when the opportunity is there, and it helps me feel a little bit closer to her and cope with the incredible emptiness I feel, but now it's solo or with the little ones.

I know I never post much on this forum, but I've always enjoyed the community that's here. Even now, just posting this, has helped to ease me some...

Thank you for putting up with my wall 'o text, you guys and gals are amazing!

I can't imagine experiencing your loss. My heart goes out to you and your children.

Boomer12 as a family man I feel for you and your family I cannot imagine loosing mine. Its hard living lifes rollercoaster somtimes. I do always say offroading keeps a family together and it looks to me like you have a raptor family as well. We are always here for eachother. I hope you will make lots of memories with your children in your truck in the future!!

Now lets lighten the mood a little and see some more finshed product and pricing. @svc I really need a new bumper or possibly a new truck if you have one laying around.

I was going to post how bad I want this. I'm buying a V3 rear any day now since I got tapped from behind at SnoBall, then I read Boomer's post.

I'd hope everyone withdraws their entry so Boomer is the only one left. Guy needs a little something to make him smile.

So sorry for your loss. Words can't do justice for how saddened I am.

Boomer,

As a husband and father of two little girls I cant even fathom what you and your family are going through right now. No bumper, no truck mod or anything else other than the incredible memories you have will hopefully bring peace and healing to you and your family. I truly am touched by your story and don't really see the point of continuing this contest any further.

It would be an honor to me and the rest of us at SVC to see one of our bumpers on you and your wife's truck. She will always be with you on your sunset drives, and those memories you have can never be replaced or purchased. Stay strong, remember the good days and continue on her legacy.

With all my heart, I truly am sorry for your loss and will say a prayer for you and your family.

Jarrett

First, my most sincere condolences to Boomer, his family, and everyone who knew his late wife. Thats Just an awful thing to happen to anyone ever.

I had just texted my photog buddy for some pics of my truck, and I came across boomers post. I texted him back and said never mind. Then I read your post Jarrett. Pure class, god bless you.

I have had my truck for 3 years, and while it came super charged, it has remained largely stock. I recently made the decision to keep it instead of getting the new one, and thus the mod bug has hit hard. in making decisions on what vendors and manufacturers to go with, I saw pros and cons with each part, but more so with initial customer service etc. Im so glad I decided to go with SVC for some of my parts. initially because they were great on the phone, but now because I see that they are real people with real feelings... way too many people these days are ONLY out for the last buck. Ill be giving all my Raptor money to SVC in the future. time to shop the SVC site for some bumpers!!

Glad to hear Boomer was selected. I was thinking of what to post, but couldnt even begin to post some BS story up after what he's going through. I dont think I could imagine how deeply that hurts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Boomer.
