Try and get some videos up. I just talked to a customer today that installed both the Trombone and HX today onto his truck with SPD DP’s and is loving the sound. He also has bigger turbos.
Oh for sure. I love the sound and can only imagine it sounding even better with bigger turbos + DP’s. It’s the insane cabin drone that’s killing me.

I ordered some bigger exhaust sleeve clamps to replace the old OEM ones I had to reuse. Hope that helps. Not sure what else to do in the mean time.

@SN8KE I installed my hx series muffler on Friday to add to my trombone resonator. Stock dp and pipes; but the drone is pretty bad at any speed over 75. Sounds great at any speed below 70 with no drone in 10th, but as soon as you start climbing above that it’s almost intolerable. Well for me at least.

Sorry to hear that @cloco. My suggestion would be to reach out to SPD letting them know your situation. For me, they have been great to deal with so far.

@SN8KE i reached out to them and they asked if i could send some videos at that speed from inside the cab. With and without music. Also, I don’t know how “secret” this is but he said they’ve been working on a secondary muffler for people who didn’t want the raspiness. No eta on that though.

This happened to me on a different set up and different vehicle a while ago.... I was like "WTF! This doesn't sound like everyone says it sounds like!". :shakehead: Turns out, I had one of the hangers tweeked and it was touching something else. Created a helluva drone at about the same speeds as you are describing. I loosened everything and adjusted. Gone.
