The new muffler comes with new clamps. For the stock tailpipes. So just the other 4 factory ones.

I see some people using these clamps from auto zone / doorman. What do you think about these, similar to stock but double the surface area. Im about to install trombone and Helmholtz muffler and was thinking about upgrading some clamps.

My muffler guy who installed both trombone and muffler reused the stock clamps on mine. No issues.

Depending on mileage of the vehicle clamping force may not be as good as it used to be. I’ve had the setups off multiple times between two trombone prototypes, the final product. Then testing both the normal HX and finally the Helmholtz. Mine were worn out. They would loosen up when I was jumping and running mile after mile off-road. I did replace mine with new OEM clamps. Those you posted above is they cover more surface area I don’t see any reason to not use them. If you do, please post back your results.
