Glad you like them. I personally love them, Toyo demo'd them on my truck at the Great American Trucks Show in Dallas last September.

BTW, my dad has 35" Toyo M/T's and I have these in 35's on my truck. The road noise isn't even a comparison. These are so much quieter.

I don't understand how people say Toyo M/Ts are loud. I had them for over 40,000 miles and I never even noticed them until I got to around 30,000 miles. My Trail Grapplers on the other hand are significantly louder, but not bad. Maybe I just never noticed it, but my MTs seemed to be relatively silent.

Oh I'm not saying the M/T's are loud, there's just still a big difference. I think Toyo has the quietest M/T's out, but the A/T II's are a good amount quieter.

It just comes down to whether or not you want quiet tires, or if you are willing to sacrifice a little more noise(even though the Toyo M/Ts are very quiet for M/T's) for the MUCH more aggresive tread.

Ok. So I have been looking at a ton of different setups that members have for my new setup. I have 28K miles on my stock BF's and it is time. So I like the look of the MT's and had not seen these AT II before untill now. So this may be a stupid question, but what is the big difference b/t the two? Since I am on the east coast and never see desert, I thought the MT's were a good option? Thoughts and advice please !

I will never see sand either. Lots of HI-way for work and fast sharp rock infested truck trails/ slow tight technical mud infested jeep trails when its play time. So for me the choice was easy. Get the M/T for better traction in my terrain and the added protection i get from punctures due to the large lugs and thick sidewalls.
Yes its a pretty big step in aggressiveness when compared to an A/T. The BFG's were like not even there now that i can compare. Very smooth and quiet. But i love my MT's and for me they work. BTW i use them in some seriously bad winter driving conditions also. Another plus is they last for what seems like forever when rotated often.

are the sidewalls really hat different? only thing i see being better in terms of protection, would be larger lugs, may take more of a beating. but unless you get the MTR with kevlar, i dont think the sidewalls are any stronger. or are they? i will be upgrading to 33" tires soon, 99% chance i'll go with what I have again, just larger. but if MT's truly do have stronger sidewalls, i may consider them

Thats a good question 6.2. Im not entirely sure if the sidewall on a M/T is truly stronger then on a A/T. Technically speaking they both have a 3-ply sidewall. But i know for damn sure the M/T is wayy stiffer. Has the extra rubber that wraps down half way onto the sidewall. So yes i would like to think the sidewall on my M/T's are less likely to tear then the stock BFG. But i cant truly say 100%
