Unless the former owner keyed it or punched it, I think you could remove it and try polishing the glass. Another option is your local junk yard, even if you get a totaled 09-13 F-150 with NAV, the screen would be protected. fyi, the screen sells online for $680 ouch!

i dont think polishing is a good idea. most of those screens have a clear layer of something over the screen. polishing might cause it to come off completely. not sure what the material is, but it could be an option to remove it all
