So what do you do with the wiring harness when the detachable mount is not on the truck?

It gets tucked under the bed of your truck so that you don't have anything hanging during off-road use. I have mine strapped to the bed.

Dane, the receiver hitch is the same thickness as factory and it is designed to be structurally sound in regards to towing. It has plate work behind the bumper to support this. You do however lose towing capacity due to mounting the bumper to
4 of the frame bolts versus 6 like factory. This bumper is designed for the off-road guys who need higher clearance in the rear of their vehicles. This allows you to navigate higher and lower terrain without dragging your bumper.

We do have our Revolver Series Rear Bumper which is for non-dovetailed trucks.

How is towing affected with this bumper? It seems like it's now a bumper pull, rather than having the whole hitch setup. Are you losing tow capacity? Is this safe?

Also, what is the benefit of the dovetail in this instance? Is there an "normal" option?

How much capacity do you lose with both bumpers? Does the non-dovetailed version also allow a 37" spare?

You do not lose any capacity with the Revolver Rear Bumper (Non-Dovetail) and it only fits a 35" Tire which is the same as factory. The Dovetail bumper loses about 1/4 of your towing capacity. Also keep in mind that from the factory the Scab has less towing capacity than the Screw.
