These lenses are not the cheap black plastic covers that Ford sells for the base model F-150 work trucks. These lights are smoke reflectors and licensed by Ford Motor company. We are also working on them with LEDs that can be wired as running lights or turn signals which will be available by late summer.

If you are more comfortable spray painting the lights on a $65,000 truck then obviously this is not the product for you.

Who here payed "$65,000" Maybe he ment some of us that put alot of work in the truck and the truck plus parts comes to about $65,000. But then again Why would you say " Spray painting the lights" I thought their lenses? LOL Plastic is plastic yo. :Jedi:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think Recon's own vendor section is the place to bash them on a new product they're offering.

It's not like it's going to change the price anyhow.

I agree that the price seems high. Tinting lenses is nothing new and its inexpensive and a easy DIY modification...

I have no interest in bashing a site supporter however i know I am not alone when I say your response to what seemed like honest criticism regarding some "sticker shock" i found to be confrontational. Reading it, i felt disrespected and it discourages me from wanting to buy or recommend your products.

I was asked why the price was what it is and gave the explanation. If "that shit is wack" is honest criticism then I guess I was way out of line.

I wanted to let you guys know about a new product that we produce for a Raptor and was met with pure venom within 5 posts. We offer a really nice discount to all of the members here and it just seems odd that my post of a new product was met with all of the negativity. If you don't like an item, then I obviously cannot change that, but I just don't get the negativity. Since I posted the new item, we have had quite a few members purchase the product using the discount code and I am sure they will be thrilled with the lenses on their Raptor.

I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!!!!

Personally I don't think Ryan is "out of line" at all. If you guys don't like the price of something ANY vendor is selling, don't buy it, simple as that. If you disagree with a price point, you can say so, but all the disrespect and attitude truly isn't necessary.
Im all for people speaking their minds, we don't censor you guys, but i think some have gotten a little more passionate than the situation warrants. Please don't reign brimstone on our vendors just because you don't like a price point... in the end all that does is discourage them from unveiling new products here, which is bad for ALL of us.

Bojangles, I agree with you in principle. However I think that honest reaction to a price point that is obviously bloated is legitimate forum discussion, and I noted no brimstone. Admitedly I was briefly pointy about the response that was posted to the price discussion, but that wasn't about the product or the price. I appreciate your concerns, I truly do, but in the immediate context there doesn't seem to be much to be concerned about.

My honest two cents.
