New Raptor Owner from La Crosse, WI

Hi All,
My name is Sam, and back in April I finally bought my dream truck, a 1st gen Raptor in black. It's a 2012 Screw that is, for the most part, stock. The previous owner installed some Magnaflows, but they drone so bad it makes my brain itch Wheels are 17" Method NV's that I had on my outgoing '09 F150.

I'm totally new to forums, so I hope to learn how the whole thing works. Thanks for letting me in

I spent about 10 hours yesterday replacing the PS pump. That was a joy :-( Ah well, works now, and I added a separate cooler just for the PS fluid. We’ll see how long it lasts.

Thanks. The previous owner did the color matched fender lips and bumpers. At first I didn’t care for it, but I’ve since grown to like it much more than the oem finish.

The pump was just an oem replacement, I think it was a Cardone. Not sure how long it’ll last, but for now it’ll hopefully do the job. I’d like to eventually upgrade it to the Howe or Lee Engineering kit. I’m still having an issue with it whining quite badly. Drives fine, but just has a pronounced whine. My dad and I flushed the system out this afternoon, and that seems to have helped greatly, but still has some whine.

The cooler was a “universal” type kit from AutoZone that we mounted just below the tranny cooler. Cost about $25 for the kit and it came with plenty of extra hose.
