What does he owe you or anyone else on this message board? Not providing us with a price is whack. It's not like they're going to give us the best deal possible from the start. Call and negotiate is a waste of time if you don't get what you want price wise at the end. Did you pay below MSRP on your 18?

A: nothing.
If he scored a deal and paid what he wanted at galpin, he should keep his mouth shut. He apparently has a relationship with the folks there. If he likes to buy specialty vehicles, having a good relationship someplace oike galpin is something I'd be sure to protect .
I'd certainly not risk said relationship based on some internet troll named poop trying to chide me into revealing what I paid.
If you have to ask what something costs, you can't afford it.
Sorry Zombie but that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, most of us on this fourm can buy what ever we want and not asking just because you can afford it seems foolish. I’m sure you just paid the $20,000 AMD or did you not look at the sticker and just forked over the cash.If you have to ask what something costs, you can't afford it.

And yes 1 post seemed fishey to me also.
not really. It just kind of depends on how disposable your income is. If something seems like it should cost around $500 and you want it, do you even ask how much it is? or do you just say "I'll have one of those, please."
Now consider that your time, in particular, the amount of time you'd save by not "shopping around", is worth more per minute than you'd actually save.
Now if "shopping around" for an MSRP Raptor took more time per minute than I could earn $20K, the efficient rich guy inside me wouldn't blink and would swipe the black card and be home, where the guy that had a lower per minute earning ability made the right move for him and searched around.
For the record, I rolled into my dealer, said " I'll have that one", paid msrp for an '18 last october and was on my way home in 30 mins. It helps that I also did the same thing 18 months previously for a GT350. And yes, on top of that, I've honestly go another 70K into it since bringing it home. You can hate me for that, but I worked my ass off to get where I am in life, and I decided to stop putting shit off for "another year" once my dad died. I've no longer got time to waste, so I don't plan to do any wasting.
Not bragging, in all seriousness. I aspire to be "**** you" wealthy like some of the silicon-valley 3 comma dudes that I've made a bunch of money for.
whether dude paid msrp or not, we all know that Galpin is VERY proud of EVERYTHING they sell and their pricing reflects that.
They also deal in some super high-end shit where waving 20 grand at them doesn't even get you a return phone call (think super exotics, etc.)
When you run a shop that is perceived by those with money as premium, you can charge as much as the rich folks are willing to part with.
Welcome to regan-era excess and capitalism. This go-round the presidential figurehead is decidedly more orange and isn't what I'd call a "good" actor.
haha all true and same here but the Scottish in me won’t let me with cost analysis. No hate here I bust my ass to be able to blow my money too. I’m just a cheep mo fo on some shit I guess!!thats why I went to AZ to get MSRP and just made a vacation out of it; Congrats let’s keep it going!$$$$not really. It does hurt to ask because they waste your valuable time playing games and half-truths.Haha you guys are too cynical. I was straight fwd with Carl and James from the start and they knew what i wanted. They asked me not to post price because it’s lower than what they’ve offered in the past. And in the end I got the price that I wanted from the get go. Just give them a call. Doesn’t hurt to ask.
