No fix on the flex. The black option, is as close as you can get with powder coat.

Thanks. So only issue on flex is if there is actual contact on the running board right. smaller jumps in dunes should cause it to push up into the fender right? Assuming no contact.

The only flex would come from contact the part moves with the running board. You can make the running board flex by pulling up on it.
