How much space is there between the top of the safe and the center console closed?

Enough for some gum and cologne up top and then the important stuff in the safe?

Absolutely, yes, just drag the files from your computer over to that drive and then plug it into the Raptor. The Raptor will pick it up automatically. If it does not, just hit the voice command on the steering wheel and say USB then when it gets the USB device, say play.

Make sure the music is in MP3 format. I did have a problem with some USB drives I had , started a thread on it check my posts, if yours does not work just buy another.

You lose the tray because of the knob on the safe but you have room for stuff between the safe and cover, no problem. I think I am going to cut a hole in my tray so it fits. I'll post here.

Up date on the tray. I used a 1/1/2 to drill thru and it works. You could even go a bit smaller but thats all I had that was close.

I went off center because I did not want the tray so close to me in the Raptor. Its hard to measure to get the hole in place so look at picture 2 , get it right in that spot between the first two rubber ribs, you should be good. If you miss just widen the hole with a sanding drum or even by hand would work.

You will have to pick up the tray to get into the safe but it will keep needed items close.
