Lol, gotcha. The R should be an incredible truck, but I’m guessing the price tag will be around $100k. That will probably put it out of range for a lot of folks, myself included!

Gen 1 is nice, but you can't beat technology and the Gen 1 is old technology. HP's not there and Gas milage sucks. That go with everything in life, as thing get old, it'll get eliminated by time and technology. That's why people's will go out and get the newest and the baddest thing out there ( that's also what you call "Marketing" ). By the way, Welcome and nice trucks. Where are you in Nor Cal?

Stage 3 Motorsports just made a YouTube video which pretty much sums it up: Gen 1 is rowdy, that’s why they will always be best IMO - haven’t driven a Gen2, but from what I hear they are “refined”.

I drove a 2000 Taurus for 18 years until I could finally afford a Gen1, so for me personally, the rowdy factor is what it’s about. I couldn’t care less about CarPlay, etc.

I just love the sound it makes when the skinny pedal goes down! Money well spent!

Yuba sutter area in Northern California. I think both Gen1 and Gen2 are great trucks. I’m sure the Gen3 will be too, and am glad there will be a v8 option again.
