x2.Don't test drive one until you are ready to throw down the cash...there was no turning back once I got behind the wheel!!
This truck renders insta-lust.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been doing quite a bit of research on the Raptor and so far I am very impressed. It seems to be a nice mix of utility, off road capability out of the box, and some creature comforts for the daily driving.
If you like creature comforts, check out some of the more detailed features of the nav system.
Travel Link is ridiculously awesome. You can instantly pull up things like nav pinpoints to all of the nearest gas stations complete with realtime gas prices, distance, one touch visual and audio directions, even the phone number if for some odd reason you'd want that.
You can do the same thing with movie theaters... It even gives you realtime movie listings.
Like sports? Select your favorite teams and get scores and news updates.
Ski reports, weather info, ....it's pretty cool.
Sync is great too. Your truck and phone are auto-connected via Bluetooth whenever you get in and out. Once you set up the Voice Recognition feature it works really well. You just talk to your truck... Give it a name to call, an address to look up, a station to tune to and presto. I've also synced my iPad to it and have used it to play video or Pandora while streaming the audio through the truck speakers.
You get iPod and USB inputs. Wanna play digital music files? Just plug in an iPod, a thumb drive, or even a big ol' hard drive. You can even save songs from cd to a memory bank included in the system. You can also upload photos to save and view on your truck's display.
The Creature Comforts you speak of are rich in this vehicle. I've driven plenty of vehicles that cost a lot more that don't hold a candle to this thing in the technology department.
Features like those make the daily driving aspects of this truck an absolute pleasure. Bravo Ford, Bravo.
