Thank you for the response, and I completely agree. Posting something on a forum isn't the way to go about getting a warranty claim handled, and if anything isn't going to make you guys actually want to help too much.

My question was honestly about the coating. I'm just trying to figure out if you guys have figured out why it's been happening, and maybe addressed it in your processes.

I was hoping that I'd get some version of "We've noticed a random spike in warranty claims with the coating so we're doing ____ to fix it going forward."

I genuinely want to purchase one of your bumpers, but I am pretty OCD when it comes to my truck, and I know I'll be seriously unhappy if the bumper was rusting. You guys offer the best looking bolt on bumpers for these trucks, period, but this has stopped me from purchasing until it seems like it may be fixed.

I'm sure you guys would take care of the warranty issue if one arose, but plainly put: I just don't want to deal with that.

Posting issues/concerns on a forum is not a problem, thats what these forums are for. To hear both good & bad reviews & experiences with Raptors & also aftermarket parts. We cannot help if the customers dont reach out. I have seen quite a few threads about cam phaser issues on the ecoboosts, rusty axles/undercarriages of brand new Raptors with zero miles on them, etc. I have also seen tons of raptors with perfectly fine axles & cam phasers. My point is, no company is perfect. Ford Motor Company also has rust & other warranty claims. There is not 1 bumper company out there that hasn't had warranty claims about rust. We sell more Raptor bumpers than any aftermarket manufacturer, by a lot. So of course you are going to see more ADD rust claims than anyone. 1% of 5000 bumpers is much more than 1% of 100 bumpers. It is all relative.

Our coating process is this, we sand blast the steel so the powdercoat sticks better. We then shoot it with a zinc coat of primer, bake it in the oven, & then shoot a coat of black powdercoat over that. Our bumpers are very durable & robust, however as I mentioned earlier, we are not perfect. That is where our warranty comes in.

Why are all your posts so vague... We aren't comparing you to others. I agree by volume, you will see more issues, that is normal.

Everyone continues to ask YOU if you have adjusted your powder process or instituted a better QC process. Have YOU? It's obvious there is a quality issue here based on the number of owners from dry/arid climates that have posted the rust issues and so far the public response from ADD has been "here is some touch-up paint"

Wouldn't it be easier to just offer them in raw steel and save the customer some money? That way people can go get it either PC'd or bedlined with their process. Personally I don't want to pay you to powder coat it and then have to strip it and pay someone else to do it.

We are always looking for ways to improve our business, including the powdercoat & QC process. Many issues we have seen are not the powder coat process itself, but with the design. If you have 2 pieces of metal meeting eachother in a very tight space, or in an almost enclosed box (frame horn mount for example), it is very difficult to get powder in that area. So over time, we have opened up those areas & slightly changed the design so we can better apply the powder coat.

We do offer raw bumpers, just about every product we offer can be ordered raw with no coating.

ADD can you tell us the weight of the new wheels please?

Also - if I didn't want to run any lights in the center of the bumper - is there an optional plate with just a grill pattern to cover the factory location intercooler?
